Last Sunday, Bradley & I launched our newly acquired 2 person kayak at Bulimba Creek just down the road from our house. This Kayak means a lot to our family as Daniel used to go fishing on it with his mate Lucas. When Daniel passed away Lucas put it up for sale, and so my Daughter April decided to buy it for us as a gift.
It was a successful first outing, 2 Catfish, 2 Bream and a 43cm Telapia. Brad and I had a great time, and it felt great doing something to honour Dan’s memory.
Did you know that Meningococcal ACWY vaccine is now on the National Immunization Program in Australia. It was announced by Greg O’Brien (Federal Health Minister last week). That’s great news. Do yourselves a favour and visit your GP now and get vaccinated for ACWY.
While you are there, get the Meningococcal B vaccine, Its not currently free but its been available since 2014. Most of the public including ourselves were unaware of its existence. It took the loss of our son Daniel to find out about its existance. Please get vaccinated and spread the word!!. We love you Dan!
